The winds in this storm blew all day, creating snow drifts and clearing lawns and roads - in places. Part of our lawn was clear, part was covered in a 2-3 foot drift. There was a drift along both sides of the cars that was almost as tall as the car - as you can see here, also in between the cars. The drift also covers several bushes. This picture was taken while a mild wind was blowing. The gusts created blizzard-like viewing, white pictures. We chose not to leave the house very much.
About Forks and the West End of the Olympic Peninsula
Forks is the most northwestern city in the contiguous United States of America, on the Olympic Peninsula in the state of Washington. The West End of the peninsula has beautiful forests, beaches, rivers, mountains, and the only temperate rainforests in North America. It just doesn't get any better than here!
