The Forecast is... what?

The forecast for today was for cold but partly sunny.

Our Forks weather usually calls for "liquid sunshine",

but frozen sunshine?

Ah, the surprises and delights of Mother Nature in Forks.

These were taken at the beginning of the snow this morning.

It lasted all of today.

And will go on into tonight.

And tomorrow.

Maybe I'll make a snowman!

It got a little snowy...

This is how it looked until the warmer temperatures started today, and the rains started. This is at sunset yesterday.

Our first storm of the season, in what looks to be a tough winter.
The blizzard has gone on to the Midwest now.

OTW weather

After the snow melted, but before the green of spring begins,

the sun shines on the hills.

Foggy night

The fog,

the moon,

the field,

the lights.

Tranquil neighbors

Our quietest neighbors, and that's saying a lot in this peaceful town.

They do love the lawn mower, though. Whenever we start up the mower, they come over to see what's up, and see if they get any of that nice green tender food.

Couldn't resist this shot of a pair of animals just relaxing in the sun. I guess the bird just figured the cow was a convenient place to rest.
