While using the zoom to reach the birds in the bush, this guy flew up and landed on the handrail, and then just stayed there and watched me for a while. We've been birdwatchers for a bit, and now I think I know how the birds feel...

Birds are curious creatures descended from those giant beasts that flew in the skys of the dinosaurs. In those days he would have eaten you in one bite or two.

I look at the different grackles we have around here and then some of the fossils of prehistoric birds and smile. I don't know if they know who their ancestors were but I do.
This little guy is funny looking. And he taught you a lesson, lol.
