Flag Day in the US

In the United States, today is Flag Day,
a day set aside to fly and honor our flag
and everything we are proud of about our country.
We fly our flag most days, but, today especially.
[From Wikipedia: In the United States, Flag Day is celebrated on June 14. It commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States, which happened that day by resolution of the Second Continental Congress in 1777.
In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation that officially established June 14 as Flag Day; in August 1949, National Flag Day was established by an Act of Congress.]
We believe we are living in the greatest nation on earth,
even with all of our foibles and problems.
I suppose most people believe their country is the
greatest, the best there is.
I guess I hope that people love their country as much as I do.

Nice post, I didnt even think about it, since the flags here have been up all week. Our Rotary and Lions club usually puts out flags on the city streets.
