Sky Watch Friday - Eastern sunset colors

I know that sounds like I'm a bit daft, but this picture was taken of our eastern view at sunset. The clouds were reflecting so beautifully, you'd think it was sunrise, but it's not. All of the purples and reds didn't quite show up in the photo, either.

The colors turn up great. It looks super when enlarged with the detail.

Hi, Corinne. This photo is an example of why my wife and I like your area so much. I can’t remember if it was you, Mary, or both of you that I exchanged messages with a while back that my wife and I are going to be in the neighborhood this week. We’re staying at Kalaloch Wednesday and Thursday nights, Quinault on Friday and then back to Seattle for the holiday weekend. We’ve been to the western part of the peninsula several times and just love it. We also enjoy meeting CDPB colleagues. If you are interested and have time for coffee or a bite, click my profile on my blog and email me. I’ll reply from my “real” address.

Nice photo. I love the perspective that the tiny buildings give.

This is an excellent one. Silhouette is like a stage for the sky and the sun.

Corrine: I think that is a wonderful happening that I would miss w/o Sky Watch. It does make you more observant and able to capture special photos.
